The space Arrive as strangers, leave as friends! We offer total flexibility, so your break can start any day of the week, with just the requirement of a two-night minimum stay (three at Easter, during July and at Christmas and four during August). Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 10.30am. There is a welcome pack just waiting for you, including bread, jam, marmalade and milk together with a selection of teas, coffees and breakfast cereals – not to forget the flowers. Please advise us if you have any dietary requirements or allergies. There are also apples, plums, pears, strawberries and cherries to pick in season. If you want to arrange an extra special treat for someone on arrival then just let us know and we can work together to make your celebration event more memorable. Set amongst working farmland and pasture our cottages form part of a barn conversion and its outbuildings which were built around 150 years ago for the farmhouse and still working farm next door - so particularly at harvest there are times when you will hear and see tractors and other farm vehicles coming and going about their business. Where we are is very 'real' rural Norfolk but it is also beautiful and uplifting and the lack of street lighting means the huge star filled skies are mesmerising - wrap up warm, sit outside in the evenings and just drink it all in. If you are looking for high levels of quality in comfortably furnished and well equipped cottages with free WIFI, Smart TV and Blu Ray DVD, Roberts sound system, ceramic hob, granite worktops, combination microwave, full sized electric oven, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, food blender and laundry facilities then we feel sure they will easily meet your requirements. The cottage is deal for couples and families. We also welcome pets. There are books, games and DVDs together with a large toybox to keep the little ones (or the adults) amused in the evenings or on rainy days. There is also the possibility to book the cottage alongside our luxury one bedroom - The Borrowers - to accommodate a larger group. Artists - Olde Farm Cottages have a wonderful large pond ideal for artists to appreciate and capture nature at its best. There are plenty of places to set up your easel by the water to paint, draw or photograph the abundant wildlife, seasonal flowers, and mother nature herself. Meditation - Whether it is making the most of the peaceful pond setting or using the gazebo or large lawns, there is plenty of scope to carry out meditation, aerobics, yoga or other forms of relaxation. We love the setting, the wildlife, the huge skies and the tranquility that living in our little bit of Norfolk Paradise affords us, yet we are close enough to major towns and the beautiful Norfolk Broads to make your holiday as active or tranquil as you wish. We are about a mile from the nearest shops and pubs - so close enough to walk should you seek the exercise. There is very limited public transport in the immediate vicinity but there is a taxi rank at Diss station. There is ample parking at the cottage and some excellent walks close by - walking books can be found in the cottage. Guest access As the cottage is self-contained you will have access to all rooms and amenities - combination microwave, ceramic hob, fan assisted oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, food blender, toaster, sandwich maker - you name it, we think you will find it in a cupboard! You are welcome to use any part of the gardens and outdoor gazebo (which has heating and lighting) and various garden furniture. There is a large pond, fabulous to gaze out on in the morning over breakfast on the lawn, watching the resident moorhens and ducks. We have a large BBQ hut which comfortably seats 10, so no matter what the weather brings you can have a bbq in comfort! If you have friends who live locally, invite them over to join you - just let us know so that we can pre-book it for you! Other things to note We have tried to make our cottages the ones that we would want to stay in and we do try to go that extra mile to make sure that our guests have a wonderful stay with us.
