Lakeshore Retreat on Little Twin

Picture this: coffee on the deck, then walk 20 steps to 75 ft of your own sandy beach. The water is warm, clear, and shallow enough near shore for little ones to wade safely. Grab kayaks, paddle boards, or floats from the toy shed and you're set. Fish off the dock or just float the afternoon away. 3 BR, bunk beds the kids will claim immediately, firepit for s'mores, and a fully stocked kitchen. Breweries and dining 15 min out, Lake Michigan 40 min. Our home, not a hotel. No pets; parking for 3. The space The house is 1,400 sq ft with 3 bedrooms, a loft, and one full bath — compact but smart for up to 10 guests. The lake-facing bedroom has a queen bed and Roku TV. Bedroom two has a twin-over-full bunk plus a trundle — a hit with kids. The third bedroom has a queen, and the loft has two twins and another Roku TV. The living room pulls double duty with a queen pullout sofa and a twin daybed. The kitchen has everything you'd actually cook with: gas stove, oven, blender, coffee maker, french press, dishwasher, and a countertop ice maker. Dining table seats six. Washer and dryer in-house. Outside is where this place shines. A spacious deck with dining furniture overlooks the water. There's a gas grill, a firepit, and 75 feet of private sandy beach with a personal dock. The toy shed is stocked with kayaks (three adult, one child), floats, sand toys, life jackets, and a hammock. Central AC, heat, high-speed WiFi, board games, and extra bedding round it out. Guest access The entire house and property are yours for the stay. All three bedrooms, the loft, living room, kitchen, bathroom, deck, and yard — use it all. The washer and dryer are available if you need them. Outside, you have full access to the beach, dock, boat slip, grill, firepit, and toy shed. The shed key is in the kitchen — just lock it back up before checkout. Two small areas are set aside for our personal things: the cabinets above the fridge marked "Owner's Supplies" and the closet in the lake-facing bedroom labeled "Owner's Closet." Everything else is fair game. Parking fits 3 cars — two on the wood chips and one on the door side of the house. If you park on the door side, pull close to the house since the property line is near the electric pole. Other things to note Little Twin Lake is a 44-acre, spring-fed, all-sports lake with no-wake hours from 7:30 PM to 11:00 AM — quiet mornings and evenings, open water during the day. The Sister Lakes area has local breweries, wineries, farmers' markets, and good restaurants within 15 minutes. Lake Michigan and St. Joseph are about 40 minutes west, and Notre Dame is 40 minutes south. Please note, the boat pictured in the photos is no longer available to rent. There are several local marinas that will rent and deliver boats to the lake.
