Cedar Grove Cottage

Nestled amongst huge cedars in an artist’s garden and just half a block from the Ocean, Cedar Grove Cottage is a wonderful space for romance and rejuvenation. The Cottage is a beautiful tiny house built by a Tibetan architect, with a loft bed, pullout sofa, and kitchenette, private deck, propane griddle, outdoor counter and sink, and outdoor shower. The recently added post and beam bathhouse features an enormous antique claw foot tub, in-floor heating and a large walk-in shower. The space Cedar Grove Cottage shares the property with one of Roberts Creek’s original farmhouses and was designed and built by a Tibetan architect. While It is tiny and best suited to singles or two adults, it comes equipped with a queen sized loft bed and a comfortable queen sized studio couch. Cooking facilities combine outdoor and indoor living with a new propane griddle, an induction element, toaster oven, French press, and small fridge. The separate bathhouse, recently added by one of the Coast’s foremost builders, has a walk-in shower, antique clawfoot tub and heated cement floors that will be turned on for your stay in the cooler months. French doors lead out to the patio. A hot water on demand system means the elegant old iron tub can be filled to capacity with steaming hot water. Plenty of room for two. The bathtub is old and has a few flaws but will be immaculately clean for your visit. The Cottage is a sweet indoor/outdoor space, or “glamorous glamping”. The patio is rain protected but you might feel rain drops on the very short trip to the bathhouse. The experience of outdoor dishwashing on a windy, rainy day or a steaming hot shower under the cedars in the snow is not to be missed. Guest access The cottage is located to the left of the carport, visible from the short driveway. Other things to note Cedar Grove Cottage is a pet friendly Airbnb.
