Quiet & Tranquil Log Cabin in the Countryside

Belstane Log Cabin is a comfortable & cosy self-catering holiday cottage sitting alone in tree-fringed fields on the edge of the Pentland Regional Park. Deeply rural yet only 14 miles from Edinburgh it offers a quiet, pastoral holiday or a base for many outdoor activities plus all that Scotland’s ancient capital city offers. You’ll love the comfy beds, the privacy and the rural ambience. The cabin is ideal for families with kids, couples, honeymooners, solo adventurers and business travellers. The space The cabin sits on its own, 200 yards away from the farm steading, in tree-fringed fields where you ahem plenty of space to stretch out, go for walks, have barbecues. Guest access You have approximately 26 acres in which to stretch out. Other things to note We think you'll enjoy the cabin's remoteness and privacy - you'll have no other holidaymakers anywhere near you to spoil your rest and relaxation. We should note, however, that because of its remoteness from the farm steading, there is no phone line at the cabin and consequently, no broadband. Even at the farmhouse, our internet speed rarely exceeds 3.8mbps so by the time a branch line was run up to the cabin 160 yards away, the signal would drop virtually to zero. However, there is a reasonable 4G signal at the cabin which should enable you to use your phone to send and receive emails, do some internet surfing and stuff like book a table or check bus timetables etc. if you do need a better WiFi access then you'll be welcome to come down to the farmhouse, have a coffee and use our WiFi - but remember, it'll not be any better then 3.8mbps.
