Where the moon meets the stars… a beautiful new shepherd’s hut crafted to blend luxury with nature, and art with the wild. Soft furnishings, rich in colours and textures; feather topped mattress, three pillows each; carefully selected homeware and unique art will make this better than a home away from home and leave you wanting to spend your time relaxing in the cosyness; where your gaze meets a long view of a rewilding field. Located between the Longleat estate and Bath The space The Hut is located on a field, adjacent to the main house, accessed by the same shared drive, however the hut has its own drive that branches off to it. It will suit most cars and there is a turning area. Low sports cars can request and discuss alternate parking outside main house. The Hut sits on a stone pad, surrounded by metal border, surrounded by a wild plant bund. There is a sail which provides shelter from light rain, and extra privacy from the main house (about 100m off) The pad has an eating area, and sitting area, with fire pit. Wood etc is provided. Food hamper can be provided, or anything for that matter, just a simple discussion away. The Hut is typical, divided into three areas; Bathroom, Kitchen/living, Bedroom. Bathroom: double headed shower. Shampoo / conditioner. Sink. Toilet. Soap, paper and towels provided. Kitchen: pepper/salt/ oil. Kettle, coffee press, plates, proper wine glasses, a book, games, cards, watercolours. Washing up stuff and bin. Pan. Utensils. Coffee and tea (uht milk, sweetener) Hot water throughout. Electric double stove. Wood burning log stove, and electric radiator. Small fridge freezer. Seating area, table, rug. Bedroom: double bed, sprung mattress, with double topper. 3 varying pillows each. Usual plugs, and usb x2 on each side for each guest. Small speaker for big tunes. Any further questions please do not hesitate to ask. Guest access Accessing Lunursa Lunursa is reached via a gated private drive with an intercom. From there, a hardstanding path leads directly to the hut, which is situated in a rewilded field. Around the hut, the ground is natural and typical of a field—uneven, sometimes muddy, with molehills and tunnels. Please note there are four steps up to the hut. Key Information The key will either be handed over in person or securely hidden for your arrival. About the Field The hut is nestled in a rewilded field, carefully maintained over the past four years to support wildlife. Please stick to the dedicated paths to avoid disturbing nesting hares, mice, voles, deer, and other creatures. Exploration There is a small pond and a seasonal stream teeming with wildlife. Guests are welcome to explore but should exercise caution around the pond and jetty. Location The property is conveniently close to the A36, providing easy access to Bath, Frome, and Longleat, with the A303 also nearby. The closest train station is Westbury, which offers surprisingly frequent direct trains from London. A lift to the property may be available by arrangement.
