Other things to note Resources for Tenants about Utilities When staying in the apartment, you must take into account the costs for the consumption of utilities. Below are important information about how these fees are calculated and settled: Electricity and Water Fee • Electricity: 2.83 Surinamese dollars per kWh. • Water: A fixed daily rate of 10 Surinamese dollars per day. The costs mentioned are in local currency (Surinamese dollars). At the settlement, the exchange rate that applies at the time of payment will be used. Incorporation of Meter readings A form will be completed upon arrival on which the initial quantities of the electricity meter are noted. In addition, photos of the meter readings will be taken as additional evidence. On the day of departure, the final readings on the form will be noted and photographed again. Settlement through Airbnb After your departure, the total consumption will be calculated based on the listed positions and the photos taken.
