Description
If you fancy something exclusively secluded situated in a woodland setting, this is the place to stay. The Old Bread Lorry hence the name used to deliver bread in the North East. It is now permanently sited in the forest and plumbed into mains and electric. It has its own private area surrounded by fences and plants. This double bedroom with an en-suite shower room built to a high standard, it is different from anything else you could imagine. The space Parking is free and very close to The Old Bread Lorry. There are a few stairs to access the lorry from the ground. The bed size is standard double bed with high quality mattress and pillows. There is a kettle and a toaster in the kitchenette. The room has coffee and tea facilities, a small USB radio, flat screen TV, hair dryer, table with two chairs and under floor heating. Guest access There is a private hot tub available whilst you enjoy your stay in The Old Bread Lorry. We would recommend to bring swimwear and flip flops. Other things to note The forest is situated in an ancient woodland where King Henry VIII once roamed in a private gated area of twelve acres. We also cater for special occasions which include birthdays, Valentine's day, anniversaries, just married, romantic getaways. Whatever your requirements are, please don't hesitate to ask and we will try our best to accommodate you. What will you find in the Bread Lorry? We provide 2 bath sheets for indoor use and 2 towels for the hot tub. There are toiletries, hand soap, toilet paper, hand towel. You will also find a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a mini fridge, glasses, plates, cutlery, BBQ utensils, hair dryer, flat screen TV, radio. This accommodation comes with continental breakfast, and the following items are included: farmhouse multi-seed bread, butter, jam, marmalade, yogurt, cereals, tea, coffee, milk, bottle of water, fresh fruit, welcome mini Prosecco/mini white wine/mini red wine/bottle of beer (depending on the availability). Due to the pandemic situation, we removed all of the comfort cushions from the lorry. We provide 4 pillows which all have pillow protectors and pillow covers however you are more then welcome to bring your own pillows if this is something you would feel more comfortable with. Just let us know and we will remove the pillows from the bed so you have more space in the room. Full English breakfast is available upon request for £8 per person. Please give us at least 24-hour notice if you wish to have cooked breakfast and payment is required in advance. Advice As we are located in a forest, it maybe more suitable to wear flat shoes while on site. BBQ To respect the enjoyment of others, we ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum after 10 pm. To protect our forests, the burning of wood is strictly prohibited. Charcoal only BBQs can be used and are provided by us for purchase. It is £4 per bag. Please note we require payment in advance for the charcoal. It is not permitted to bring your own non charcoal BBQs. Open fires, fire pits and rope swings are also prohibited for health and safety reasons. Hot tub use We have added a private, exclusive hot tub to the facilities, so make sure you bring your swimwear and a pair of flip flops. Please note that in order to maintain the best levels of hygiene, your hot tub may have been refilled on the day of your arrival. If this is the case, it will not be fully warm for comfortable use until the evening of your arrival. Whilst on holiday we know you want to get the best use out of your hot tub. The temperature is maintained at 37.5°C (or a bit cooler during the heatwave) and is checked every day by us. We also guide you that:- 1. You should consult your doctor before use if you are receiving medical attention or have a long term illness. 2. Avoid using the hot tub if you are under the influence of alcohol, have eaten a large meal, are pregnant, or are on medication. Only use the hot tub after seeking medical advice if you have a condition that is affected by heat for example, a heart condition or high or low blood pressure. 3. No food, glass, liquids, bubble bath or oils allowed as these may result in the hot tub having to be drained. 4. You should get out of the tub if you start feeling unwell, uncomfortable, giddy or faint. 5. We recommend for safe use that you remain in the hot tub for a maximum of twenty minutes at a time and have a rest period of between 10 and 20 minutes. Overuse will effect chemical balance and overall enjoyment. 6. Please take care when getting in and out of the hot tub as the steps are slippery when wet. Please keep your voice down after 10pm and do not use the hot tub during a storm. Parking Our bread lorry is very cozy and warm offered with free parking for one vehicle, set in a private gated area with abundance of wildlife including deer, birds of pray, rabbits. Internet We go out of our way to facilitate our guests with Internet provided from our network. If for some reason the Internet fails or looses the network, we can't be held liable. Smoking Please note that smoking is not permitted in any cabin. Smoking is only allowed outside of the lorry, where you will find ash trays. Identification Please note that we do require photo IDs with the address shown (driving license) to be sent to us prior the stay.
