Ataraxia is an eco-project on Bastimentos island. Located midway between Bocas Town and the famous Red Frog Beach. You can get best of both world, it is secluded yet only a 10 minutes boat ride from Bocas Town. We offer very spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms on the edge of the jungle and the pristine waters. Delicious breakfasts & dinners overlooking the canopy. Come stay with us, enjoy snorkeling at the edge of the garden and the tranquility of the jungle. The space Your room is simple but private and secure, with a ceiling fan and a private bathroom with hot water. In addition to your room, you will have access to all common areas such as the kitchen and dining area, large balcony, a huge garden and the jungle behind. Energy is generated by the sun and wind so it is important that resources are used mindfully. At night, the house relies on the stored energy so we ask guests to charge all devices during the day to take advantage of the solar energy. Guest access Our cheerful 2 story ocean front home is located on Isla Bastimentos halfway between Bocas Town and the famous Red Frog beach. You have access to the whole downstairs part (we live upstairs) and outdoor area. Taxi boats from Bocas Town take between 5 and 10 minutes and cost 4$/p.p during the day and 5$ at night if you need any help to get here please shoot us a message and we will be happy to help. See you soon! During your stay We live upstairs and are mostly on the property and available for questions or anything that you need. dinners (20$/pp) are available and served on the deck overlooking the garden please give us 24h notice to go groceries shopping and let us know of any allergy that you may have. Other things to note We are a only a few minutes away from beautiful white sandy beaches, Bastimentos Island Marine National Park, Bocas Town. Some of the local tours include marine turtles, dolphins, surfing, scuba diving, zip-lines, and a bat cave exploring. There is a beautiful variety of cultures on the island. Spanish is widely spoken but English is spoken throughout the archipelago as well. Sit on the dock and enjoy the warm ocean breeze, go swimming or snorkeling in the beautiful pristine water and explore the reef right in front of the house.
