Welcome to Harper Lake! The Chickadee is one of our TWO tranquil two-bedroom cottages right on the water. This cozy and meticulously maintained retreat is perfect for relaxation. Step through the sliding door to a private patio equipped with chairs, a table, and a charcoal grill—perfect for your morning coffee. You'll be treated to a delightful array of bird songs, and with a bit of luck you might even see a bald eagle. Take in the beautiful sunsets and unwind in this peaceful lakeside haven! The space From the cottage deck, it's just a short walk down the stairs to Harper Lake, a 78-acre spring-fed lake perfect for all sorts of water activities. Whether you're interested in fishing for bluegill, largemouth bass, pike, and other freshwater species, or simply enjoying the water, we’ve got you covered. Make the most of your stay with our complimentary paddle boats, rowboats, kayaks, and canoes. You can also relax by the lake with our chiminea and lounge chairs, perfect for unwinding on those lazy days. If you prefer to bring your own watercraft, a public launch site is conveniently located just a few steps away. Your hosts live nearby in the main house, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance during your stay! Guest access Take a break from the water and relax under our spacious pavilion, equipped with a well-stocked wood-burning fireplace/grill and all the cooking essentials you need. Other things to note We provide fluffy towels, soft bed linens and a small kitchen with dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, tea kettle, pots & pans and a hair dryer. We do not provide any toiletries or consumable cooking products. We ask you bring your own beach towels.
