Out here you'll find fruit trees and planters where you can pick your dinner, a large lawn for the kids to play, a hammock in the shade where you can read a good book and a greenhouse where you can enjoy the cool summer evenings with a blanket and a glass of wine. You can also take the kids by the hand to Egense Harbor. Here you can enjoy the playground, rent bikes for an excursion or take the ferry over to Hals, which has a charming harbor environment with restaurants and a cozy atmosphere throughout the summer. Meet Rikke Hørby My name is Rikke. My family and I have had the cottage for about a year now, and it's the first time we've owned a cottage. We actually bought it because we sold our house and had nowhere to live, so we've lived here ourselves for a while, so we know all about what it's like to not only spend a vacation here, but also to live here. Today, we live only 15 minutes away from the cottage, so we still come here often. We are nature lovers and love to explore together. In the area, we like to go for walks in Lille Vildmose, where you can sometimes spot moose. Watch the sunrise by the water, stand on paddleboards and otherwise just enjoy a good cup of coffee sitting on one of the benches by the water. We also recommend a trip to Øster Hurup, where you can get the best ice cream in North Jutland at Vaffelhuset. Or hop on the ferry to Hals and enjoy the many ice cream parlors, restaurants and shops.
