There are lots of activities to choose from in the surrounding area. For fisherman, The Murray River is a ten minute drive away, teeming with the region's famous Murray Cod. Gunbower Creek is a kayaker's paradise with unlimited opportunity for paddling in safe, family-friendly waters surrounded by stunning scenery and an abundance of wildlife. Gunbower Cottage offers kayaking rental with Murray River Adventures which can be booked at a special price as part of your stay. Gunbower Creek is also a popular water-skiing destination and a favourite with bird-watching enthusiasts. For a different perspective you can experience a boat cruise along the creek,or explore Gunbower Forest via bush walk or bike. There are a bowls club, golf course and excellent horse-riding close by.
