Nestled snugly between the Patagonia and Santa Rita mountains, our casita sits at just under 5,000 ft, making it temperature perfect almost year round. Enjoy our 38 acres and private hiking trails right out the front door with endless possibilities for adventure. Recharge, Rejuvenate, and Revel in our cozy, clean, quite space. The space Minimalist, lovingly appointed with organic cotton sheets and towels as well as natural clay paints. The building is rastra construction which provides amazing insulation. Polished concrete floors throughout feel great under foot. There is central air and heating, but we doubt you will need it during your stay. Light and open, there are plenty of windows to let the outside in. A deep well supplies the property with pure and delicious water. The wrought iron front doors were handmade made by an artisan builder in Sonora, Mexico and open onto a front porch that looks directly on to Red Mountain. Spend an evening watching the sunset here and you will realize the mountain comes by its name honestly. Eco friendly toiletries are provided, as well as coffee from a local roaster and a selection of teas. The space is perfect for a couple or solo sojourner. It can also accommodate small families with a few tweaks, just ask. There is a simple double bed with an organic mattress in the bedroom. A second mattress is tucked hidden away under the bed and can be pulled out for extra sleeping space.. Curl up with a good book on the cozy loveseat or while away the day in the handmade rocking chair. Many a gourmet meal has been dreamt up and made in the compact, yet efficient, kitchen. There is also a small barbecue available for our guest. We use downed mesquite we find on the property for fuel, and find that it gives food a totally unique flavor. Want a little local knowledge or insider tips? Just ask! We have been here just over 15 years and both our kids were both born here. Feel free to pick our brain about awesome hikes, sweet sunset viewing spots, secret swimming holes, or petroglyph viewing opportunities. We are friends with premier birders to equestrian folk, to master masseuses in town. Looking for something to kick your stay up a notch? Just ask and we will be happy to connect you with the people in the know. Patagonia is also rapidly becoming a gravel biking mecca. Bring your bike and you will have endless opportunities for exploration. Reusable water bottles are provided for guests to use during your stay.
