Each unit at The Heidelberg Inn has a telephone, a television, a whirlpool tub, and a mini kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave oven. 1-bedroom units with a maximum occupancy of 4 have 1 bath, 1 queen-size bed and 1 sleeper- sofa. The 2-bedroom units with a maximum occupancy of 6 have 1 bath, 1 queen-size bed, 1 double bed, and 1 sleep sofa. The resort has two stories and no elevator. Smoking and pets are not allowed at this resort. - The space The Two Bedroom (Presidential) unit includes a Bedroom with a Queen Size Bed in One Bedroom and a full size Bed in the Second Bedroom and a Queen Size Sofa Sleeper in the Living Room. Sleeps 6. There is a dining/kitchen area with refrigerator, two burner stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. These units have three TVs, a DVR, alarm clock and free WIFI. Guest access Set amid the towering Sierra Nevada Mountains, The Heidelberg Inn offers a touch of movie glamor and legend along with its amenities. Opened in 1928, the Inn was seen in many film during the 1930s and starred in such movies as "Road to Utopia." Clark Gable, Betty Grable, and others stayed at the Inn. Today, the Inn has been completely redone and updated. Relax at this storybook property featuring a four-sided fireplace for chilly winter nights. In the summer, June Lake is a great place to enjoy all your favorite outdoor activities, from boating to stargazing in the mountain air. A car is recommended to fully enjoy the area. - Other things to note The Heidelberg Inn was first opened in 1928 as a hotel with 46 rooms with bathrooms down the hall. Now we have twenty-four condo type units with one or two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living/dining room and a bathroom. This location became a place to go for some of the most famous movie stars. Clark Gable, Betty Grable and Charlie Chaplan were noted visitors in the wintertime. Pictures of these "old days" are seen in the lobby. Also, you will see the famous four-sided stone fireplace with the signature 8 foot California Grizzly Bear standing on top.
