Be inspired to explore, connect, and rest. The space Our three-level cabin has been part of our family for 40 years. Built by Grandpa Feely, it sits on an acre of oak woodland hillside, amidst three dozen oak trees, with views across the canyon. We completed a major renovation in the summer of 2024, keeping the charm of this wooden A-frame loft while adding contemporary touches. We are three miles from the Sequoia National Park entrance, and a 45-minute drive to the Giant Forest. Locally, the village of Three Rivers offers accessible hikes, great food, and a creative art scene. Nearby, Lake Kaweah offers water activities, as well. The upstairs loft and lower level bedroom both have luxurious king-size beds and outdoor access. The loft has an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub, and a private enclosed balcony. On the bottom floor, the bedroom’s sliding glass door gives a lovely view of the golden hillside. Next to this bedroom is our kids’ space with a twin bed and trundle. This open area also has a ping pong table with room to play, and outdoor access where stairs take you up to the main deck. A full kitchen makes staying in for a meal easy. Fresh linens and towels are provided, plus other touches to make your stay extra special and comfortable. We offer a selection of coffee and tea, as well as a thoughtful stocked pantry. While there are three separate sleeping areas, only one is a truly enclosed space with a door. There are no sleeping areas on the main floor. The terrain outside is steep. We live in a fragile ecosystem with hot, dry summers, which can make this foothill area prone to wildfires. There is wildlife nearby: deer, turkeys, bobcats, bears, squirrels, lizards, tarantulas, scorpions, snakes and many birds. Be mindful when exploring, especially in the dryer months when rattlesnakes are more prevalent. Trash cannot be left outside or in your vehicles. You have access to a large bear-proof trash bin shared with the neighboring cabin. You must agree to close supervision of small children at all times.
