It is breathtaking. Eagles Nest II was completed in 2008 and is the winner of the Tasmanian Master Builders award. This uniquely designed building was inspired by it's surrounding landscape and the desire to bring the 'outside in' with uninterrupted views of Mt Roland and the surrounding mountain ranges through custom made two storey windows. 'Tasmania on the outside & the world on the inside' is the driving philosophy for the decor in the interior of Nest II. Inspiration and authentic artifacts grace the walls and rooms throughout the retreat from the travels and personal collection of the owners Stuart & Sheree Kent. Their love of travel and the regions they have lived or visited come alive through the African inspired bedroom wing, the Asian inspired bedroom wing and the ever-popular Middle Eastern reading loft and South American inspired courtyard. Indulgence and relaxation are a priority which is why this retreat has 3 open fire options, 3 individual and unique spa experiences and 3 wonderful and different shower options. If soaking in a spa bath by the lake watching the stars or grazing cows doesn't relax you, then perhaps an indoor Japanese Haiku spa or the fireside African wing spa might be more your style. Other things to note Eagles Nest Retreat is nestled in the countryside just a short 7 minute drive from Sheffield the Town of Murals and a 35 minute Drive from Devonport the port of the Spirit of Tasmania and closest Airport. This quaint township has small grocery stores and cafes and a few restaurants. There are a number of delightful toursit sites in town. Local outdoor artwork on many buildings offer a unique travel experience. Don't miss the mural park! Other highlights include the marble shop, fudge cafe and steam train!
