Church Cottage lies in 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the beautiful village of Escrick, 6 miles from the centre of York. We offer comfortable and spacious accommodation in a building that dates back from 1850. The site is also home to the award-winning Sangthai Restaurant. There can't be a better place to stay for lovers of Thai food! The space Church Cottage now can be booked with three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, and be able to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. *PLEASE NOTE: The additional bedroom and bathroom will only be available for guests paying the extra person(s) charge. Downstairs, the lovely twin bedroom has french windows that open onto the garden. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a super king-sized bed. An adjoining door opens to another spacious bedroom with large bunk beds (lower 4ft queen size and an upper 3ft single) and a single, superior quality, folding bed (included if there are six guests). There's also a large en-suite with bath and shower. This extra bedroom is accessed through the main double bedroom but there is also access by another stairway and outside door. Also upstairs is the family bathroom and spacious lounge complete with TV/Sky+HD and DVD player. French windows lead to a private terrace above the twin bedroom. Downstairs again, there's a dining room and next to it a luxury, solid oak kitchen with Aga and modern appliances. The Aga helps to heat water for the house but there's full central heating and bathrooms have heated floors. Please note that a maximum of 4 people can be accommodated in Church Cottage with the two original two bedrooms (and one bathroom). The additional bedroom and bathroom will be available only if bookings are made for 5 or 6 people (even if less are actually staying), paying the charge for extra guests. The site has fast fibre-optic business broadband and Church Cottage is wi-fi enabled with it's own wired Apple router. Mobile phone reception is good for all networks.
