Blue Cabin of Hortillonnages
Blue Cabin of Hortillonnages
Cabane bleue des Hortillonnages
Description
Our family cabin, ideally located in the heart of the Hortillonnages, close to the train station, the historic district and the city center, is composed of two buildings connected by a spacious terrace. The first space offers a large living room (living room, dining room and kitchen) and in the second, you will discover on the ground floor, a large bedroom, a bathroom and toilet and upstairs a small cozy bedroom. Our atypical accommodation will delight lovers of nature and calm. The space The blue hut is located in the heart of the Hortillonnages, a preserved and protected natural area; also nicknamed "the little Venice of the North". It's a must-see when you come to Amiens. The accommodation is nestled out of sight, in a wooded garden of more than 1000 m2 where you alone will have the enjoyment of the place during your stay. Close to the city's attractions (15-minute walk to the train station, Cathedral and Saint-Leu district/historic and trendy district and 20-minute walk to the city center), you will be charmed by the calm, green nature and birdsong! The accommodation has all the comforts you need. The total area of about 60 m2 is divided into two spaces: the "day" space with the large living room and its fully equipped kitchen and the "night" space, with the two bedrooms and the bathrooms. The large bedroom offers a large double bed 160 x 200 cm while the upstairs bedroom is composed of two single beds 80 x 200 cm, but can be put together, depending on the needs, to offer a comfortable bed 160 x 200 cm. Blinds and blackout curtains are installed in both bedrooms for your best comfort. The large terrace, equipped with garden furniture, will accompany your long summer evenings and you can also enjoy the joys of the garden and gas barbecue. We provide guests with five bicycles (2 adult-sized bicycles, 1 bicycle for children between 10 and 14 years old, and two bicycles for younger children, 6-9 years old and 3-6 years old) as well as a canoe that can hold 3 adults or two adults and 2 children. The accommodation has been designed and furnished to accommodate families and is therefore suitable for children. However, we draw your attention to the fact that the land is naturally bordered by water (a small shallow stream passes on one side of the land). It is therefore necessary to be vigilant and to give safety instructions to children as soon as you arrive. Guest access To get to the accommodation, you will take the towpath where cars, walkers and cyclists mingle. This is a single-lane road but passable in both directions. It is customary for the first person with the most facilities to park on the side of the road, giving priority to the one opposite. Other things to note We provide guests with: - bed linen and bath linen - kitchen essentials (coffee, tea, sugar, condiments, paper towels, dishes...) - bicycles - a canoe for 3-4 people - Wi-Fi connection and free TV access
