Description

In Hotel Piet Hein Eek you sleep between art, design and antiques. Opened in 2021 by renowned Dutch interior designer Piet Hein Eek in his former Philips factory hall, the hotel features a special studio for luxury stays and longer stays. This luxury studio (75 m²) has a king size bed from Auping with Yumeko bedding, Aesop care products, a bath and shower, kitchen with fridge, oven, hob, dishwasher and kitchen utensils, and TV. The space This studio in Hotel Piet Hein Eek is on the second floor. The room has a private bathroom with bath and shower, toilet with toilet paper, towels, soap and shampoo. The studio also has a kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals. In addition, the studio is also equipped with air conditioning, heating, a television and a desk. The studio is accessible by elevator and is also wheelchair accessible. The studio can be reached via the hotel lobby, but also has its own entrance. Guest access On the second floor of the building, you will be welcomed in the lobby where the kitchen block serves as reception, bar and kitchen. It is the living room of the hotel where we do our utmost to offer you not only a special experience but also, or perhaps especially, warmth and security. The Green Restaurant is integrated into the lobby and is part of the Wonder Room. Here you can get lost between art, antiques and design. French doors give access to a large roof terrace with lots of greenery, shade and shelter. Part of the Wonder Room are also 'The Night Watch', a meeting and breakfast room and a studio. The night watch was created by Teun Zwets and is used at night by the person who keeps watch. The studio is a full part of the Wonder Room and an example of how you can live with art, antiques, design and music. The studio and the meeting room are connected by a large pivot door. When the rooms are not in use, the doors are open and become a natural part of the wonder room. On the fourth floor, you will find our DAKBAR. In the engine room, there used to be a lift motor as big as a Fiat 500. When we (unfortunately) had to replace the old elevator with a new one, there was enough room left for a bar. It has become a crazy and warm place to enjoy the panoramic views of the city and the green surroundings with a snack and drink. On the ground floor is the shop of Piet Hein Eek where you can go 7 days a week for Piet Hein Eek furniture and accessories, but also works by other designers, art and antiques. Afterwards, you can stroll through the showroom on the first floor, where almost all the work from Piet Hein Eek's career can be admired. During the week, you can look into the workshop through the showroom, where the furniture makers produce the well-known designer furniture every day. For a bite or a drink, you can also visit the Grand Café on the other side of the street. Freshly prepared dishes are served here every weekend with organic ingredients from local farmers and growers. For fresh homemade fries with Dutch fries snacks, go to FRIET. Here you can pick up, but also dine in the bistro.
