Sega is Swahili for Sega la Asali meaning a honeycomb. Just like the cells of a honeycomb, each of our rooms has a special story to tell. Inspired by Swahili culture and artefacts carefully curated from all over the world, Sega House will make you feel like you have experienced and been part of a different culture. A luxurious haven, located a 7 mins walk to the beach, 15 mins drive to the airport and 10 mins to Diani shopping centre. Perfect for couples, families, business and groups. The space THE HOUSE - Sleeps five people comfortably - About 7 minutes walk to the beach - Located in a gated community with 24/7 security - Fast WIFI THE LIVING ROOM & LOUNGE AREAS: - Plenty of space to wine and dine in our bright, airy and spacious living room with a high Swahili style “Makuti” ceiling - A stylish lounge nook with sprawling cushions makes for the perfect reading area - Alfresco dinning area overlooks the garden and makes for a relaxing seating area day and night. - Antique Pakistani door converted into a beautiful dinning table comfortably accommodates eight people. - The Lamu dhow ( boat) converted into a bench adds to the ambience of the dinning area. - Relax on the Swahili outdoor day bed made to your comfort by talented local artisans. - Ceiling fans - Portable gas barbecue grill THE BEDROOMS: Two spacious bedrooms with the following amenities: - Comfortable King size beds - A desk and chair if you are working remotely - Blackout curtains - Plenty of wardrobe and storage space. - Air conditioning - Mosquito bed nets A third bedroom with the following amenities: - A 4x6 bed also with plenty of wardrobe space - Air conditioning - Blackout curtains - Mosquito bed net BATHROOMS - Two bathrooms newly renovated - One bath tub - Shampoos and body wash are provided THE KITCHEN: - Newly renovated kitchen, tastefully designed with clean open shelves displaying our original Pakistani crockery. - A breakfast bar is provided that includes a taste of Kenyan coffee and tea at no cost to our guest. - Cooking utensils, a kettle and stainless steel silverware. - Gas stove and burners as well as a micro wave and an ample-sized fridge. GUEST AMENITIES: - Ceiling fans in all the rooms - Ample supply of bed linen, extra pillows, bath and pool towels -Solar inverter backup system to keep the lights on in case of power outage - Property manager available as needed - Free daily cleaning service - Private chef at an additional cost of $30 a day or $25 per meal - Masseuse available at $20 per hour. - Washing machine THE SWIMMING POOL: - Beautiful pool area shared with three other houses and is available for guests use at all times. Please leave the pool area as clean and neat as you found it. Guest access Guests have full access to the house and private front and back yards. You can check-in at any time, but please let us know of your arrival in advance. Check out is 10:00 a.m. but we will try as much as possible to accommodate requests for late check-out if we do not have other bookings. We also offer transfers to and from the house at an additional cost. Other things to note HOUSE RULES: We have no rules just rules of thumb. We hope you make the most of your stay at Sega House, but please note that this is our home so be respectful of the property and neighbours. We ask that you keep noise to a minimum, especially between 11pm-7am. Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, vapors, marijuana, etc) is not allowed inside the house. PET RULES: Please keep us notified if you have a pet traveling with you as we we will need to notify our neighbours. We recently adopted a cat Mandu, she is a delight, but let us know if you have allergies. Our delightful garden also attracts monkeys, we request that you do not feed them. THINGS TO DO: Located in stunning Diani Beach, voted best African beach six times. Sega House is within close proximity to a myriad of upscale hotels and restaurants with easy access to the beach and plenty of fun activities waiting to be explored.
