Welcome to Pear Tree Cottage on North Hero, a classic lakeside cottage that is comfortable for the whole family. The property is situated on a private dead end drive with an expansive lawn, privacy and over 100ft of waterfront with beautiful green mountain and island views. Walk to town for a coffee or sandwich at Heros Welcome, dine at The North Hero House, Shore Acres, or Bravo Zulu, all walking distance from the cottage. Sit in a chair overlooking the lake and watch the boats passing by. The space The cottage features four bedrooms in total: two are conveniently located on the main floor, and the other two are upstairs. There are also two bathrooms, with a full bathroom on the main floor and a half bathroom on the second floor. Originally built in 1945 as a charmingly rustic lake camp, the cottage has been updated with modern amenities and thoughtfully decorated to ensure a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of the property is the over 120 feet of lake frontage on rockledge. We typically install the dock between June 1st and October 1st; however, please understand that these dates are subject to change due to Vermont's unpredictable weather. Even without the dock and stairs installed, the lake is accessible, but we advise exercising caution as the rocks can be slippery. Once you're in the water, you'll find the rocks are generally flat and easy to walk on, especially if you have water shoes. For your convenience, we have a locked shed on the property containing life vests, floaties, inflatable paddle boards, and extra outdoor chairs. Please feel free to contact us for the access code to the shed. Guest access Guest will have complete access to the cottage including the lakefront, outdoor patio with included propane grill and fire pit, and the storage shed, where lake toys are located!
