The space After parking on your own rock driveway, you'll enter through private gates into the serene sanctuary of School Street Slumber, nestled among trees and lush greenery. Your spacious courtyard, framed by natural rocks, features a propane grill (propane provided) with a single burner, cozy Adirondack chairs with a gas fire table, conversational seating area, and a picnic table with a lighted umbrella. Breathe in the soothing sounds of nature and the cheerful chirping of birds. Keep an eye out for local wildlife like turkey and deer. Inside, you’ll discover a romantic space designed for relaxation, complete with a new Lovesac 'sactional' couch and a kitchen featuring an air fryer, toaster, microwave, kettle, Keurig coffee maker, and refrigerator. The bathroom includes a full-size stand-up shower (ideal for quick, refreshing showers), a vanity, and an Incinolet toilet. The loft area, accessible by ladder, boasts a comfortable king-size bed surrounded by windows and a full skylight, making it feel like you’re among the trees. A smart TV can be positioned to face either the living area or the bedroom for your viewing pleasure. This thoughtfully curated space is perfect for two, offering a cozy yet comfortable atmosphere with modern amenities, while allowing you the option to unplug and embrace being surrounded by nature if you desire. School Street Slumber has Wi-Fi and a mini split system for temperature-controlled comfort throughout the interior space. Have plans? To respect nature and wildlife, we ask guests to stay within the rock area. You'll have complete access to the entire courtyard, the tiny home, and convenient parking on the rock driveway just outside of the fence. Each guest will receive the Wi-Fi password and enjoy access to the smart TV for entertainment needs. Other things to note Pet Policy: While we absolutely love pets—your host even fosters kittens and works with the local SPCA—we regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate dogs or cats. This is due to a family member who occasionally stays in the tiny home and has severe allergies. We sincerely appreciate your understanding, as we know how challenging it can be to leave your furry friend/s behind while traveling. We live nearby a local wedding venue, Mountain View Stables and on an occasional Saturday evening, you may hear music echoing through the woods while outside, which always ends by 10pm. To be more efficient, School Street Slumber is equipped with an Incinolet Toilet, which is a high-end electric toilet that burns and evaporates human waste. Occasionally (and rarely) there may be an odor of burning paper associated with this process. The shower and faucets (kitchen and bathroom) are what you'd find in a normal home. This tiny home includes a German engineered 6-gallon hot water tank which will provide approximately 5-minutes of hot water for your shower. It can take approximately 15 minutes in between showers for the tank to reheat hot water. Please note, this is a TINY home, and the bedroom is located in the loft which is only accessible by ladder. There is approximately 200 square feet of living space that has been carefully designed for maximum comfort. Being so close to Concord, School Street Slumber is located in an area that has many food and grocery delivery options (DoorDash/Instacart, etc.) so if you don't feel like cooking or forgot something on your list - don't worry, you can always have it delivered! Plus, we are only minutes away from Dollar General, Aroma Joes, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Market Basket, and much more if you need to run out for supplies!
