1 Town Cottage - East Prawle

You can find our cottage in the wonderful and unique village of East Prawle, the most southerly point of Devon. Our cottage with sea-views is on a quiet road and has one space for parking directly outside, it is a 5 minute walk from the brilliant local pub, village shop, cafe and coastal path Originally built in 1750 for the farmer’s tenants, we’ve recently restored and renovated the building (hence why it’s new to book!) You will find everything you need for a wonderful stay The space The cottage includes - Cosy living space, with smart TV - Fully functional kitchen-diner (seats 6) - 2 King-size bedrooms with sea views (one with en-suite) - Smaller bedroom with bunk beds - Separate spacious bathroom with walk in shower To note: There is no phone signal at the cottage so connectivity will be via the WiFI. Our concierge service, ‘Coastal Concierge’ will get in touch with you before your visit to arrange access. They will be available throughout your visit for anything you may need and also offer other services such as car pick up, chef or boat hire To explore nearby: 5 minute walk: - SW Coastal Path - Local pub, the ‘Pig’s nose’ - Village shop (for all your essentials and non essentials!) - Village Café (brilliant Crab baguette!). Open in the summer evenings for drinks too 10-30 minute walk: - Prawle point, most southernly point in Devon and active Coastwatch Institution - Horseley Cove beach: closest beach to the cottage, 15 minute walk - Maceley Cove beach: beautiful secluded cove off the coastal path – please note there is quite a steep scramble to reach it - Woodcombe beach, another secluded beach a 30 minute walk way. Wonderfully sheltered for swimming 10 minute drive: - Lannacombe beach (can also be reached via longer walk on coastal path). The perfect sandy beach for everyone - families, scramblers, surfers, swimmers – with parking - Mill Bay – another perfect sandy beach for families with parking - East Portlemouth - take the passenger ferry over to Salcombe or try the Village Farm Café - Gara Rock Hotel for a 5 star lunch or dinner, also has a wonderful sandy beach - The Milbrook Inn, South Pool - brilliant pub on the picturesque estuary - Beesands beach, a long pebbly beach with pub, the Cricket Inn - Start Point lighthouse and Mattiscombe Sands - perfect spot for seal spotting
