We have a village pub and are a quick drive from Goodwood, Winchester, Chichester, Guildford, Portsmouth, sandy beaches at Hayling Island & West Wittering. The space Guests have a large private parking space plus a private, sheltered, south west facing garden which is ideal for eating and sun bathing. Secure Bike storage. Other things to note Hollyhocks Cottage is in the heart of the Southdowns National Park, just off the Southdowns Way. On arrival the kitchen has a generous supply of breakfast and snack provisions, including fresh bread & milk. The village has a pub, The George, food is available but booking is recommended as it gets busy. We also provide details of take-away restaurants which can deliver. There are many attractions within a 20-40 minute drive including Goodwood Race Course & Motor Circuit, the historic cities of Winchester, Chichester, Guildford and Portsmouth’s historic dockyard. Several small towns and villages are within a short distance and are also well worth visiting. There are beautiful sandy beaches at Hayling Island (30 mins) and West Wittering (45 mins). There are fantastic cycling routes many of which use quiet country lanes, cover varied terrain with outstanding views. Mountain biking is particularly good at the nearby Queen Elizabeth Country Park. There is endless walking from the door, foot paths are well marked and routes are easy to follow.
