Description

Built in the 1940s, The Folktale Cabin is what a true Brown County getaway is supposed to feel like. Tucked into the woods, the cabin feels quiet, peaceful, and just a little bit enchanted (in a “fairy tale, not haunted” way). You’ll love: • Being nestled in the woods with birds & trees • Modern amenities so you don’t have to rough it • Old-world charm for cozy, nostalgic vibes • Clean country air that makes city lungs very happy Slow mornings. Quiet nights. Woods all around. The space The Robinwood Inn: The Art of Living At The Robinwood Inn, our cabins aren’t just places to stay — they’re livable works of art tucked gently into the woods of Brown County. Each cabin is inspired by life among the trees, blending warm wood, natural textures, and thoughtful design into spaces that feel creative, cozy, and just a little bit magical. Carefully spaced for privacy, every cabin gives guests room to truly unwind — whether that means slow mornings with coffee on the porch, afternoon naps that turn into evening naps, or meaningful conversations with the birds (they’re excellent listeners). Here, rest and relaxation aren’t amenities — they’re the whole point. Rustic charm meets comfortable ease, and the outside world politely fades into the background. Come hide in the woods. We promise not to tell. Unplug. Breathe. Hot tub. Repeat. 📍 WHERE YOU ARE (AND WHY IT’S AWESOME) • Less than a mile from Brown County State Park — hiking, biking, fall colors, nature therapy • Less than a mile from downtown Nashville — shops, art, food, wine • Surrounded by woods — not traffic, not crowds, not chaos This is a place for quiet mornings, slow evenings, and pretending time isn’t real. Local Eats & Essentials Bird’s Nest Cafe — Perfect brunch/lunch stop downtown. Think cozy eats with craft vibes, just a short drive from the inn — ideal for fueling up before a hike or art stroll. Downtown Nashville also has galleries, shops, and sweet spots that make wandering feel like an artful treasure hunt. Things To Do Nearby Brown County State Park — Hike, bike, horseback ride choose your adventure. Nashville Village — Art, antiques, local flavor. Campfire spots — Grab some marshmallows and make memories. Guest access CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT Check-In: After 4:00 PM Check-Out: By 11:00 AM We like smooth arrivals and calm departures. Upon arrival: Your door will be unlocked after 4 PM, and your keys and all the info you need will be waiting on the coffee table. No check-in lines, no awkward paperwork — just walk in, flop down, and start relaxing. If anything’s off, missing, or not exactly how you pictured it, give us a call and we’ll fix it faster than Red can chase a stick Just reach out via phone or email if something’s amiss. We want your stay to be relaxing, memorable, and almost too peaceful to leave.Folktale is a stand-alone cottage with its own parking and private entrance — no shared spaces, no awkward run-ins, no “is this our porch?” moments. Guests are welcome to enjoy the common fire pit area and admire the mini horse pasture (from a respectful distance — the horses appreciate boundaries). All cabins and suites at Robinwood Inn, along with their adjoining outdoor areas, are private spaces. We kindly ask that guests refrain from wandering into other guests’ cabins, decks, or outdoor areas during their stay. Everyone is here for peace, privacy, and a little bit of magic — let’s keep it that way. Other things to note MEET YOUR FOUR-LEGGED (AND HOOFED) HOSTS You may see some locals wandering the property. They are friendly, charming, and not part of the amenities. RED – Big Red Lab Role: Security, morale, stick patrol Loves attention and assumes all guests adore him (he’s usually right). ROSIE – Small English Bulldog Role: Professional napper Snorts, grunts, judges quietly. This is normal. 🚫 Dogs are not allowed inside guest cabins 🚫 Please do not feed them — Friendly as they are, do not let them into your cabin or feed them (they’re on a strict “cold-heartless dictator” diet). RUSTY – Miniature Horse (Brown & White) Curious, social, a little near sighted and shy and totally aware she’s adorable. STORMY – Miniature Horse (Black & White) Calm, observant, and quietly in charge. Important Horse Rules: • They are friendly but still demand respect • Do not feed, pet, or enter their space unless invited • They are miniature horses — not petting zoo attractions • Admire from a distance and everyone stays happy (including you)
