On the site of The Old School House & The Royal British Legion, Poppy Cottage is a newly refurbished & extended, luxury, true cottage at the heart of this wonderful, rural Village, a perfect base for exploring the area. With plenty of cycling & walking routes close by. Guests can access the local cricket, tennis and bowls clubs, Pubs & Restaurants, Cedar Farm craft shops and food outlets, and Stocks Health Club & Spa ( 2 x adult private passes can be provided on request at an additional rate) The space Cosy but spacious, guests will find an open plan kitchen, living & dining area, with large sliding doors to access a private enclosed garden. All rooms are accessible over one floor, and with level access through the front door, the cottage is suitable for individuals with accessibility needs. The snug lounge has a log burner with firewood provided by the host. The master bedroom has a king-size double bed, and the second bedroom accommodates two single beds. The main shower room features a walk-in shower with rain head and hand shower, a WC and a large vanity unit with a heated mirror and towel rail. A separate utility room provides a washing machine, iron and ironing board and hoover. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire property, including two off-street parking spaces and a secure private garden, perfect for relaxing and entertaining. A bus stop, located just 50 meters from the front door, provides convenient transport to Southport, Chorley, and nearby villages such as Croston, Parbold, and Rufford, as well as other surrounding areas. The train stations at Parbold and Rufford offer rail connections to Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, and Wigan, with further links to the main West Coast Line. Stocks Hall Health Club & Spa is just a 15-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away. This exclusive members-only club features a gym, swimming pool, spa pool, steam room, sauna, and an outdoor hot tub. Guests can also book spa treatments directly with the venue before arrival. Upon request and for an additional fee, two guests staying at Poppy Cottage can receive an all-day access pass to the club's facilities. The cost is just £20 per person, per day.
