Description

Tucked away in the hamlet of Bryncroes on the Llŷn Peninsula, Ysgoldy is a unique detached cottage, formerly a school, now a renovated family holiday home for up to 10. Secluded with rural surroundings and off-road parking for three cars, the cottage features a cozy sitting room with a woodburning stove and Smart TV, a well-equipped kitchen/diner, formal dining room and games room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a private garden with a hot tub. The space You enter this beautiful countryside property from the front driveway, through the yellow front door, into a small boot room which leads into a light, spacious, vaulted lounge with sight of the mezzanine floor directly above. A quiet reading area can be found up the oak staircase, together with one of the main double bedrooms. Head back downstairs, into the lounge where you will find two double sofa beds for up to four guests to sleep. A snuggle chair for cosying up in front of the stunning log burning fire. Wall mounted TV, together with a home theatre surround sound system can be found in the lounge for the music loving guests, whilst others can enjoy the fun of the table-top football situated just outside the kitchen. From the lounge you enter the kitchen, which has a high-top seating area with four stools. An American style fridge freezer sits next to a washer and separate dryer. Two ovens side by side and nestled above is the electric induction hob and extractor fan. There is a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and everything you would expect of a kitchen! Off the kitchen is bathroom number one, bath tub, shower unit, toilet and hand basin. As you leave the kitchen, you enter the dining room, with a further log burner. The dining table turns into a pool table, and there is bench seating. A darts board and plenty of books also are featured here. Off this room you will find bathroom number two, which has a spacious shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin. From the staircase within the dining room two further bedrooms can be found . One is a double, and the second is a single, which is a trundle bed. There is a child’s cot which is located on this upper floor. Step outside the property from either the yellow side door from the dining room or use the main yellow door at the front of the property, and there is lots to explore in the Ysgoldy gardens! The pathway wraps around the cottage, which leads you to the back of the house where you’ll find the hot tub! There is a table tennis (ping pong) table, with an outdoor dining area which sits alongside the gas BBQ. Step down into the lawned area with views of the animals from the adjoining working dairy farm. There is a washing line if you like to freshly air dry! Step down further and you can explore a delightful stream and a further grassed area with a large outdoor table and benches. The shale driveway, wraps back to the front of the house with an array of mature shrubs to admire! When the Northern Lights are likely to be seen, you have the perfect spot at Ysgoldy! Clear skies at the cottage will mean Aurora is likely to be visible. Check out the spectacular photos on here and also keep an eye out for announcements from the Met Office during your stay! The rented property has a perimeter which finishes at the two wooden gates running over the primary stream bridge, and the single gate over the second bridge. The recycling point and log store is to the right of the property as you drive in, behind the hedging. Guest access The perimeter of the property ends at the double gates over the primary stream bridge, and at the single gate over the second bridge. The annex beyond these points is private, Other things to note Please note that there is an additional charge for hot tub use at Ysgoldy. The charge is £100 and ensures it remains clean for all guests, and is emptied after each guest visit. Please note that if the engineer has cleaned the hot tub on the day of your arrival, guests must wait 24 hours before use. Children must be supervised at all times. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the wonderful experience of "clean and healthy bubbles" for all our guests. Should you not wish to use the hot tub, we will of course, remove this additional charge.
