My newly re-designed apartment is a gem amidst the vibrancy of central Brixton: a haven of exposed brickwork, warm pine floorboards & clear, neat, contemporary lines which extend to the uber modern kitchen and travertine stone clad bathroom. Total surface area of 65 sqm on the Market's doorstep & a 3 min walk to Brixton Underground & Railway station. The space My apartment is a spacious two bed located on the second floor of a listed Victorian residential building dating back to the 1880's and crowned with a breathtaking roof garden. It's conveniently located bang in the middle of central Brixton, a mere two minute walk from the Underground and railway stations with links to Oxford Circus in 10 mns and to Victoria in 7 respectively. Whilst Marks & Spencers, Sainsburys and all high street amenities are within a few steps' reach, the beauty of the location is that it's comfortably fitted between both Market Row & Brixton Village and their dizzying array of foodie favourites and cocktail bars. The living room is a luminous, impressive open plan area with exposed Victorian brickwork, smooth, varnished pine floorboards and light-reflecting white walls throughout. It's furnished with a large, comfy designer sofa and a set of vintage dining table & chairs. An unusually large sized guest bedroom looks onto the courtyard, filled with light - it is equipped with a brand new designer double bed. The modern kitchen is all white glossy surfaces and top of the range fittings, with brand new washing machine, fridge/freezer etc. in immaculate condition. At the far end of the apartment are the master bedroom with its bay window and queen size bed and the bathroom, with its 5 star hotel look. All windows are fitted with double-glazing, thus ensuring peace and quiet. Guest access Guests are welcome to the entire flat when it is available. A sunny day shouldn't be enjoyed without spending time on the roof terrace and its plant pots, shrubs, trees and vines! Other things to note The beds are of course freshly made and I leave you with plenty of towels. Further towels are available, stored in the master bedroom wardrobe, where you'll also find a hair dryer, iron etc. Bed linen is über lovely Egyptian cotton! In the winter, the heating will have been left on - It is regulated by a mobile thermostat which I always leave on top of the chest of drawers. Adjust the temperature as you wish (a reasonably comfortable temperature in the master bedroom is 18-20 degrees Celsius). If you leave for extended periods of time lower the temperature so as to keep the apartment warm but without having the heating on full blast! There's toilet paper, washing machine detergent etc. in the 'larder cupboard' in the kitchen which also houses the fridge/freezer. The kitchen cabinets house all you need to make coffee, to cook etc. I usually leave my sound system out, by the sofa, if you want to play music etc.
