The Somoto Canyon Hostal (casa familiar) offers an authentic Nicaraguan experience. In the midst of the mountains, the colonial style family house emphasizes the natural beauty of Nicaragua's northern regions. Staying in the shared house will offer you a sense of genuine warmth and hospitality from the Ordoñez family. A tour to the Somoto Canyon can be arranged for an additional fee (includes lunch). Juan (host) has over 9 years of experience as a tour guide. The space You are invited to stay in our large room (a king size bed and twin bunk beds) with a shared bathroom for one or more nights. Breakfast and coffee included!! Our Casa Familiar is located in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of the canyon. You will be welcomed by friendly dogs, horses, a donkey, and chickens. In addition, the house is also available for private rental upon request (three bedrooms are available). A maximum of 10 people can be accommodated. For inquiries regarding private rentals, please do not hesitate to contact me. It is important to note that only one room will be available if there are fewer than four guests. Make the most of your stay by visiting the Somoto Canyon, the jewel of the region. We can arrange a group tour or a private outing for you and your family or friends. The excursion will be tailored to your level and your preferences. Guest access Guests have access to a kitchen where they can prepare their own meals. As an additional service, we are able to provide lunch (150 cordobas per person) and dinner (100 cordobas per person) for an additional fee. Purified drinking water available for our guest. During your stay We are a family of 5 ( 3 children). We will respect your privacy and be available to you upon request Other things to note We are located 20 minutes from Somoto, if you are arriving by bus, please contact me to arrange transportation. There is parking available at the accommodation if you are driving. In the case of low clearance vehicles, getting to the Casa Familiar may be difficult. However, there is parking available at my brother’s house , 100 meters away from the accommodation at no cost.
