Immerse your senses in nature while you relax in blissful silence and total comfort. The space Beautifully crafted, architecturally designed, the cabin takes inspiration from the minimalist Japanese lake-side tea rooms. The exterior of the cabin is clad in local douglas fir and charred by hand using the traditional shou sugi ban technique. The cabin has been designed with an emphasis on clean and simple details that provide a sense of calm. The floor to ceiling windows allow you to feel surrounded by nature, whilst in total comfort of the cabin. Located within the South Downs Dark Sky Reserve, the cabin is the ultimate location for stargazing in the UK, offering sweeping views of the starry skies. Choose to lie outside or lay in bed and gaze through the skylight. Our hand built cabin has been lovingly imagined to create a sanctuary where you can detox from the digital world, relax and reconnect with nature. We haven’t compromised on luxury or comfort either… you’ll enjoy flushing toilets, comfy bathrobes, towels, ultra-soft bed linen, indulgent bath salts and candles. All you need to totally switch off. Whilst you find respite in the seclusion of the cabin, you’ll also find many things to do. You have access to the farm’s private ancient woodland on your doorstep, a host of walking and biking trails, opportunities for bird watching and foraging. We have a great local pub + village shop and cafe just a 20 minute walk away. Other things to note 1. GETTING TO THE CABIN: Due the beautiful secluded nature, it is a 4 minute walk from your car to the cabin, along an undulating woodland track. A trolly and umbrellas are provided at the car parking space, for ease of carrying your luggage. 2. COOKING AT THE CABIN: inside of the cabin is a sink and a full size under counter fridge. The woodburning stove has a heat plate on top which can be used for pan cooking. There is also a small electric kettle to make a quick and easy cup of tea in the morning. The best opportunities for cooking are in the outside kitchen where there is a large granite counter for food prep, a gas ring and a fire pit with a range of cooking options including a grill and plancha. 3. ELECTRICS AT THE CABIN: as the cabin is fully off grid on solar panels, we only have usb sockets available for charging devices.
