The major route is the Ceredigion Coast Path, which can be reached by walking down the pretty wooded Cwm Silio valley, passing lovely waterfalls, to the secluded cove. From here the route follows the dramatic coastline north to New Quay, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth and beyond. Southwards are several lovely coves and beaches, Cwmtydu, Tresaith, Penbryn, Mwnt, Cardigan and beyond into Pembrokeshire. The Teifi Trail is another main route, leading for 75 miles from Cardigan, through Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn, Llandysul, Lampeter and Tregaron to the source at Teifi Pools, high in the Cambrians. There is a route between Aberaeron and Lampeter, passing through Llanerchaeron. More local walking is best researched using the Ordnance Survey or the excellent guide on the Ceredigion Council website. WATERSPORTS: There are many opportunities for watersports. New Quay offers a wide range including yacht and dinghy sailing, power boating, jet skiing, kayaking, wind and wing surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing and paddleboarding. Further afield there are yacht and sailing clubs at Tresaith and Aberaeron. Most coastal resorts have slipways for launching personal water craft. It is also possible to hire kayaks on the River Teifi from the wildlife centre between Cardigan and Cenarth. There are also opportunities for other activities such as diving and coasteering. WILDLIFE: Cardigan Bay is renowned for its populations of Bottlenosed Dolphins, Porposes and Grey Seals. Athough sometimes visible from the shore, they are best appreciated during a boat trip from New Quay. Seals can often be seen on the more secluded beaches such as Cwmtydu. Birdlife along the coast is exceptional, and inland you would be very unlucky not to see a Red Kite or other bird of prey. There is a butterfly walk between Cwm Silion and Cwmtydu. Further afield there is the important wetland wildlife centre between Cardigan and Cenarth. OTHERS ACTIVITIES: There are great opportunities for other activities within easy reach, including golf, mountain biking, sea, lake and river fishing. There is even a dry ski slope nearby in Llangrannog! Other things to note The cottage is a semi detached property. Steps lead up to the garden. Not suitable for toddlers or disabled
