Stylish cottage - superb views

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish, totally private annex. The views from upstairs and down across the rolling Rutland countryside is worth the booking alone. The private patio is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the views. A vaulted ceiling upstairs makes it bright and spacious. Perfect for that weekend lie-in. The well equipped kitchen and open plan seating area are designed for relaxed daytimes and evenings. And with a pub in the village, eating out is always an easy option. The space Crooked Cottage is a newly renovated stable/outbuilding. It's reasonably symmetrical inside, but take a look at the back of the property and you'll see why it got its name! It is a beautifully finished, totally private annex to our main house (built by my parents in 2000). Situated only 3 miles from Rutland Water, it is equidistant between the historic market towns of Stamford and Uppingham (10 minutes drive). There is a step down to the front door which leads you into the modern and well furnished open plan living area. The kitchen has been hand built to a high specification with oak worktops and is equipped with: built-in oven and induction hob, slimline dishwasher, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. The cupboards are stocked with plenty of utensils and kitchen items and we also provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk (non-dairy if required) and coffee pods. We can provide access to a washing machine and tumble dryer should you need them. There is a dining table with seating for 4 people and 2 comfy armchairs with views of the wall-mounted smart TV and the surrounding countryside. Patio doors take you out to the private and semi-enclosed seating and BBQ area, so you can relax and enjoy the stunning Rutland views. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom are located upstairs. Though the stairs are wide, the ceiling is low at one point so you will have to mind your head. The bedroom and bathroom have a vaulted ceiling and the bedroom allows you to enjoy the views across the open countryside from a different angle. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, bedside tables (with drawers, wall hung coat hooks for hanging your clothing and an arm chair to relax in. The bathroom has large walk in shower, WC and wall mounted sink unit with shelves to store your toiletries. Outside, along with the patio, you have parking right next to the property. Guest access The annex is self contained with its own entrance. There is small step down from the drive to access the front door. There is a separate gate that accesses the patio area, which can also be accessed via the patio doors from within the property. Other things to note This is a rural location and whilst there is a bus service operating through the village to both Stamford and Uppingham, a car is highly advisable. There is a pub in the village which is worth a visit and some other great pubs in the surrounding villages of Barrowden, North Luffenham and Seaton.
