They had no children, but they had 7 large show dogs. They would keep building on to the house as they started the first pilot program for GED completion in their home and with a dance studio as well. They also started a nutritionist program area.. The outside house to the left was a library and student building. The house to the right was built and had machines to help her with her severe arthritis. In Downbeat Duffy, the 2 bedrooms were added on to and used to take care of both sets of their parents. In the last 3 years of her life, Deborah was totally bedridden. Her husband died in 2019 with dementia, brain tumors, and pneumonia. In 2020, my work team and I took care of her until her death in 2023. it was a precious going away party. Tnere was so much peace and grace given her during her death. Deborah and Derek's tombstone has a ballroom dancing couple with the scripture on it, "Let them praise him with dance."
