Cozy Room with private bathroom.

A cozy soft blue room with a private bathroom, and separate entrance. Our home is a friendly one. We enjoy meeting people from all parts of the world. If someone prefers to be alone - that's OK too! We have welcomed people from all parts of the world for short and longer stays since 2009. This is not a hotel - but rather a 100-year-old comfortable house in a beautiful neighbourhood of friendly folks. The space The room is on the lower level with an adjoining laundry room, and bathroom. There is a lot of drawer space to put away clothes, but not a closet. In the laundry room there is also a room that used to be a wine cellar for a sommelier. It's beautiful! In that room is a place to hang clothes that require hanging. While the kitchen upstairs can be used most guests like to keep their food downstairs. There are 2 small fridges in the laundry room that are entirely for your use, a toaster, and a kettle. I am happy to provide a toaster oven, or microwave if that would help with your stay - especially if longer term. The house itself is centrally located! It's very easy to walk, bike, or take transit from our home to uptown, downtown, the universities, shops, groceries, the farmer's market, etc. *There are two cats that lives upstairs. If you enjoy the company of cats you are free to invite them into your room as well, but that is up to you. They love humans. Guest access Access to a kettle, toaster and 2 small fridges in the adjoining laundry room if you would like to prepare snacks in the privacy of your room. A microwave is also possible if you indicate an interest in having one. Overnight street parking is available April 1st to November 30th. If you bike, our garage can be used for safe storage. We are around the corner from the Spur Line trail which is a wide road-free way of getting to uptown Waterloo. Great for walking or biking. We are also a quick walk to King Street - and two different LRT (light rail) stations. During your stay Generally my teenager daughter and I prefer more quiet privacy, but are here to help at any point if needed! I can always be reached by text or through the Airbnb app. I am happy to help with any questions you might have! Other things to note The laundry facilities are also on the lower level. I will arrange with you when it is OK for us to do our laundry as we need to walk through the room to reach the washing machine. Since 2009 we have had a constant stream of guests without that ever being an issue. Please let me know if you have any questions about this! As our home is over 100 years old it does have some creaky bones.
