Coolabine Retreat - Wagtail

Our cabins have been architectural designed to make the most of the valley’s views. Built in 2024, they are self-contained with luxurious inclusions. Whether in winter or summer, you will feel comfortable all year round. Our cabins are named after the local birdlife that are seen around the property. Wagtails can be seen flying and landing on the ridge, waving their tails. You will see them when sitting on the balcony enjoying a relaxing refreshment or eating the local delights. The space Being a studio cabin, your space has a kitchenette, king size or king single beds. Sofa bed lounge, wood heater, tv and buffet. Our beds are top of the range when it comes to comfort, with luxury linen and designed to get a wonderful night's sleep. Our sizeable bathrooms, have a bath with a view of the mountains, large shower with rain shower head, basin and toilet. The large balcony hosts a table and chairs, BBQ, bean bags to sit and watch the view through our glass balustrade. Fans are located in the studio and the balcony, and our cabins have Telstra Wi-Fi, which during peak season/school holidays can be weak at times. A breakfast basket is included in the price, which you will cook yourself. If you have dietary requirements, please ensure you send them through 72 hours before your arrival. Guest access When entering Coolabine Retreat off East Coolabine Road, you will be required to follow the signage to the left of the driveway. When you come onto the concrete driveway, it is 300 metres to the top of the ridge where your cabins are located. The concrete driveway is one way, and we ask that you adhere to the 20km speed zone. If you do encounter a car coming in the opposite direction, please back to the nearest passing bay which are located along the driveway every 80 metres. Once at the top of the ridge, you will come to the main house. Please take the driveway to the left, beside the house and drive between the two sheds located behind the house. You will then see our two cabins. The Wagtail cabin is the first cabin on the right-hand side. Access to your cabin is via the car park situated to the left of the front door of your cabin. Our doors are pin coded, and the pin code will be sent to you 24 hours before your stay. Other things to note Our home is situated on the property, and you will drive behind it to our cabins. It is a working property, and you will see us working our animals. Please come and interact with us if you want to, otherwise we will also respect your privacy if you want to advantage of the country air and serenity. Our animals are there for your enjoyment, although we ask that you respect their space too. Please don't enter any gates in their paddocks and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We feed our animals, horses, goats and chickens around 430-5pm daily. If you would like to join us, please do so.
