Description

Sandy Sunrise Beach Retreat This newly built 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage is located right on the shores of Lake Erie. An amazing water view shows everywhere you go. Listen to the waves lap or drink coffee from one of the two balconies, and play on one of the best beaches in Ontario. Eastshore beach is warm, pure sand and shallow swimming. At night light a fire, watch the stars or big ships as they navigate Pelee Passage at the southern most inhabited part of Canada. The space Now with high speed fibre optic Wifi. Downstairs - bedroom has a queen bed. Bathroom has a shower. Open concept kitchen and living room. Lakeside balcony. Kitchen is fully quipped. TV has a Prime Video subscription and is on antenna. There are many dvds. Upstairs- bedroom 1 has a queen and a single, bedroom 2 has 2 doubles and a single. The bedrooms share an upstairs balcony. Bathroom has a bath/shower combination as well as washer/dryer combination. There are 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards and 4 bikes as well as floaters, life jackets, inside and outside games, fire pit, bbq. No paint or markers allowed inside the house. There are pencil crayons and crayons on site. Please do not move items, that would require two people to move, from their original locations. Guest access Guests can use all accessible parts of the house. Other things to note Bedding and toiletries are provided. There is almost a mile of beach to walk right in front of you. Most people get to the island by ferry from Kingsville or Leamington. Cars can be booked on the ferry. Contact Owen Sound Transportation for schedule and booking. Pelee Island is a nature paradise. As a result we have bugs and snakes. If you are not ok to waking up to some short lived, harmless insects gracing your presence on exterior window sills and door frames, Pelee is probably not for for you. Sightings of the harmless Lake Erie Watersnake are common. They will not approach you. But during a weeklong stay, the odds are high that you will see them briefly from the balcony or beach. They might even fascinate you as they eat an invasive round goby at the beach edge. Other wonderful sightings easily include hummingbirds, cormorants, swallows, seagulls, cranes, bald eagles, pelicans, wild turkeys, pheasant, blue heron, song birds, birds galore (those insects are an important part of that food chain) interesting butterflies and moths, raccoons, grey fox, turtles, squirrels and rabbits, and the occasional deer.
