Lakeside Tiny Cottage in the woods

This unique tiny cottage is nestled in the woods allowing you to feel & hear the sounds of nature. Enjoy a solo adventure, a romantic couples getaway or a chance to chat the evening away with a best friend! Fresh air, bonfires, star gazing, the lapping waves of the lake, privacy on 36 acres - walking trails are waiting. You will soak in the benefits of living in the forest and being lakeside. Leave with your body rejuvenated & balanced. The space Situated lakeside among the tress, with a rock cliff upon the backside of the tiny cottage we have 36 acres of forest trails and green space for you to enjoy. The property is located down a private lane and we are located around the middle of Dog lake in South Frontenac Township. We have canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and paddleboards to use. Feel like a bicycle ride along the lane - we have 2 you can use! If you love fishing, you can catch them right off the dock. In the evening enjoy your private bonfire pit and stars overhead. Guest access Each guest at Old Roots Nature Retreat shares the forested trails, the park , the outdoor stone oven, oversized dock and the 1200ft of private waterfront. All guests are welcomed to try out cooking over the stone grill, make a pizza or cook your burgers! A picnic table is there for you to enjoy your meal. Enjoy canoes, kayaks, paddleboard, paddleboat and floaties located in the lakeside shed. Our green space is park-like, space for you to run like the wind, play horseshoes, ladder ball, corn hole and make memories. We rent 2 cottages and one Tiny Cottage, all guests have their own private yard, propane BBQ, deck area, firepit with firewood, free parking, and private entrance. Other things to note The tiny cottage is lakeside -steps away from the waterfront. It is the closest cottage to the water. Hot water is from an on-demand tankless heater. Water from the tap is well water - it is potable and fresh. There is a stand - up shower with a glass door, toilet and small storage in the bathroom. No pets are allowed in this cottage due to its size. as well as it allows us to offer a "pet free" cottage to those that have allergies. There is an outdoor screened in dining area.
