The Bear Necessity cabin is located in a peaceful area in the north Maine woods. It’s only 1/8 mile from Wilderness Variety Store and 1/4 mile away from Shin Pond Village Bar and Grill where you can rent UTV’s and snowmobiles. There is direct trail access from the property - no need to drive! There is lake access right across the road from the property - ideal for fishing and ice-fishing. The lake adjacent property is partially wooded. There is a public beach on Lower Shin Pond just minutes away that you can enjoy swimming or a picnicking. The north entrance to Baxter State park is a scenic 15 mile drive north.
