The Suffolk Hut is a rustic shepherds hut located in a quiet field on a working farm situated 30 metres away from its sister hut, The Herdwick Hut. Both huts sit in their own fenced off garden. The sheep themed Suffolk Hut has all of the comforts needed to have a warm, cosy stay whatever time of the year. Each hut sleeps up to 4 people on double bunk beds. The Hut has its own self contained bathroom with a modern shower unit, toilet and sink. You will also find a well equipped kitchen. The space The Suffolk hut sits in its own enclosed garden with log seats and campfire, bench and outdoor table. The sheep themed hut has a log burner for year round comfort. There is a large covered decking area, table and chairs. The copper themed bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The well equipped kitchen has a microwave combination oven and four ringed gas hob. There is a fridge-freezer too. The hut sleeps up to four on double bunk beds with deep comfortable mattresses. Up to two canine companions are welcome to stay in our hut. Treats, poo bags and a water bowl are provided. The hut is perfect for a family or a couple or close friends. Children will love having a campfire and toasting marshmallows, whatever the time of year! We provide a basket of logs, sticks and firefighters. Inside the hut you can light the wood burner to the hut lovely and warm. A fire guard is available on request. There is also a wall mounted electric heater if preferred. Guest access Access to the hut is via one gate off the lane and then through a second gate to the enclosed area of The Suffolk Hut. They may or may not be open for you but we suggest you close them behind you. There is a hard standing area to park to preserve the grass. Instructions on how to get in are provided after booking prior to arrival. Other things to note The Herdwick hut and the Suffolk Hut are approximately 30 metres apart and each within their own enclosed garden area. Each garden has its own campfire, set of log seats, outside table and bench. The gate off the lane is shared and so if staying in the Suffolk Hut there may be two gates to open if the Herdwick Hut is occupied and those guests close it. The two huts are positioned sufficiently apart to afford two separate bookings adequate privacy and at the same time would allow for two families to book both huts together and allow 8 people to enjoy the huts at the same time. *for approximately 10 weekends of June July and August the field that the huts overlook hosts a family campsite Friday to Sunday. There is access to the field for hut guests during those weekends. There is no access for guests to the field during the rest of the week in the summer or at any other time of the year.
