Perfect for individuals, couples, or small families, this single-story bungalow accommodates a maximum occupancy of six and is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Asheboro just minutes from dining, antique shops, 5 minutes from McCrary Park, 9 minutes from ZooCity Sportsplex, and just a short drive (12 minutes) from the NC Zoo. The space Brighter Days Bungalow is a historic home built in 1929. The house has been lovingly maintained and recently updated to meet the needs of modern living while retaining its historical charm which includes the original hardwood floors and beautiful claw foot tub. It has a covered front porch that is a great place for drinking your morning coffee while swinging on the porch swing or rocking in the rocking chairs. Once inside you will find a cozy living room with an electric fireplace and large 55 inch smart TV. This home has 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the third bedroom has two single beds and also a small Roku TV and a few toys/games. One of the bedrooms has a beautiful fireplace that is original to the house. The kitchen features spacious cabinets, quartz countertops, a large deep sink, a dishwasher, stove, microwave, and all the essential kitchen items needed for your stay. This home has a spacious dining room/gathering area that seats six. The bathroom has the original claw foot tub, original bathroom vanity, and beautiful tile flooring. The laundry area is equipped with a large washer/dryer combo for your convenience. We also provide a small ironing board and iron for the guest convenience. Guest access ~This house has a key-less entry. Other things to note ~ Smoking is only permitted outside: absolutely no smoking inside the home. ~ Interior doors are original to the home and do not have locks ~There are two TVs, a large 55” Smart TV in the living room and a small Roku TV in one of the bedrooms, please note you will have to enter your own passwords in order to access some of the apps. ~Although we try very hard to make sure that our home is pest/insect free: please note that this is an older home, partially surrounded by trees and it is not uncommon to occasionally see insects, etc. We do not allow refunds/discounts for occasional bug/pest sightings within the home.
