The space Positioned under the cooling shade of the rainforest canopy, the house stays naturally cool in summer and offers direct access to a deep water swimming hole in the creek. Just meters from the front deck, you can hear the refreshing flow of the water, inviting you for a swim or simply sit by to unwind by its calming sounds.  Accommodation Capacity: The cottage comfortably accommodates 13 guests, with the option for an additional 5 guests to camp next to the house using their own tents or camper trailers. Allowing a maximum of 18 guests total. Charming Living Spaces: Enjoy an open-plan living area that evokes warmth and comfort, complete with large long table for group dining and windows offering enchanting views of the lush rainforest surrounds. Kitchen/Cooking Facilities: Offering a well equipped kitchenette inside for small group gatherings including cutlery, crockery and glasses, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, and there is a gas bbq with pot burner located outside on the deck. Relaxing Outdoor Spaces: Unwind by the cozy fire pit or cool off in the creek, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature. Private Natural Retreat: Explore the beauty of 161 private acres, with opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and immersing yourself in the great outdoors. Experience unforgettable moments at Creekside Cottage, where nature and comfort harmoniously blend for the perfect escape. Events: With permission, we do allow small intimate events such as bday celebrations and special occasions however, it is a requirement that all guests stay onsite overnight and adhere to noise restrictions. We now offer our newly built outdoor camp kitchen/entertaining space which offers ample space for communal cooking. Featuring a gas bbq, oven, refrigerated stainless steel servery, bar seating and communal dining, making it the ideal spot for group catering and entertaining. Note: 3 night minimum stay required for use of this space or an event fee of $750 for 2 night stays. For the ultimate group getaway, (up to 40 guests), book together with nearby Nevaeh House on the same property—1 km apart—for exclusive use of the entire property and all ammenities.. Guest access You’ll have full private access to Creekside Cottage and shared access to the surrounding 161-acre property. While both houses—Creekside Cottage and Nevaeh—share the creek frontage and some outdoor areas, they are set over 1 km apart for a peaceful and private stay. Book one or both houses depending on your group size. Other things to note While the property feels remote, it has access to mains power, tank water, and a bio-cycle waste system. Getting there - Christmas Creek Road becomes an unsealed single lane road when it enters the valley, and at times, especially in wet weather, can become quite rough. Drive slow, take it easy and look out for wildlife. It is not suitable for cars with lowered suspension, caravans, or heavy vehicles. Mobile reception is limited, but WiFi is available. No parties unless pre-approved. Parties/Events - our property is the perfect location for an elopement or small intimate wedding/family celebration however it is required that all guests attending must stay onsite. The property access is not suitable for large groups of people travelling in and out. We allow a maximum of 40 guests total to stay onsite when both houses are booked together. This includes campsites for additional guests (BYO tents or camper trailers only - No Caravans).
