Welcome to The Historic York Inn, located in The Smyser-Bair House, a Victorian mansion that has been an anchor in the center of the historic district of downtown York, Pennsylvania since the early 1800s. The Historic York Inn / Smyser-Bair House is the perfect place to stay in part due to its beauty and history, and in part due to its central location to so many points of interest. The Smyser-Bair house has been a single-family residence for 167 years with its architectural integrity preserved. The space The Smyser-Bair house is a 9 room Victorian mansion in downtown York, PA. All of the interior has been upgraded and kept in good condition, but the house is an old home and is one of the rare examples of a period home with little or no alterations to the interior layout of the home. We have strived to keep the integrity of the place thus rooms share a shower on each floor. The house has a number of short and long-term tenants. Many have intended to stay a short while and have ended up staying long term. Rooms are based on availability, and we strive to ensure each room provided is clean and prepared for short term stays as well as long term stays. Long term guests are responsible for cleaning their room and washing their own towels and bed linens, but we will provide additional bed linens upon request. We can include an adjusted price to include cleaning services based on guest request.
