Whether you’re a solo traveler seeking silence, a couple on a romantic retreat, or a family of four hunting for adventure, this is your off-grid home base. ​Sleeping & Glow: Sink into a plush double bed or our bespoke bunks. On chilly nights, the wood-burning stove crackles to life, keeping the hut toasty while your kettle whistles on top. ​The Off-Grid Experience: Swap screen time for starlight. With no electricity or Wi-Fi, you’ll dine by the soft glow of fairy lights and lanterns. (Note: Limited 4G is available if you truly need to check in). ​The Great Outdoors: Your sheltered deck features a full glamping kitchen and dining area perfect for al fresco meals regardless of the weather. ​The Waterfall & Woods: Follow the private trail to our secret waterfall and natural swimming pool for a morning dip. ​Amenities & Essentials ​Hospitality: Fresh linens, towels, and a tray with tea, coffee, and local tablet await. ​Kitchen: Fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, and a cool box. We provide 8L of fresh drinking water to get you started. ​Eco-Living: A clean, private composting toilet is a short walk across the grass. ​Note: In keeping with the wild experience, there is no shower or bath just pure, immersive nature. ​Guest Access ​The entire hut, decking, and surrounding ancient woodland are yours to explore. Families will love the board games and nature books, while stargazers will find the Milky Way visible right from the deck. ​What to Bring ​To keep your experience "solace-filled," please pack: ​Food & Toiletries (we provide the rest). ​Sturdy Waterproof Boots for the uneven woodland terrain. ​Cosy Slippers (we have a strict no-outdoor-shoe policy inside). ​Please note: To protect our local wildlife and peace, The Solace is a pet-free retreat. Guest access Arrival: Dedicated parking is signposted. Enjoy a 7-10 min "mini-hike" up a grassy woodland path to the hut - sturdy boots are a must! Secure keysafe entry ensures a smooth check-in. The Solace is your private sanctuary, exclusively for booked guests. Other things to note The Journey: A 10-minute stroll from your car leads you through the ancient canopy of trees, past the secrets of our Fairy and Dinosaur wood, and along Binzian Burn. ​The Reward: Discover your hut in a serene clearing, plus a hidden waterfall den perfect for a wild dip. ​Wildlife: Keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels, pine martens, and owls.
