A historic downtown stay at The Patrick Henry
Description
At the heart of historic downtown New Castle, this 1860s building is host now to retail, a photo studio, and your peaceful home away from home. Two years of restoration have resulted in a building with history, character, and a hub for all the city and county has to offer. The space Our property is a tastefully renovated 160 year old building that has had many businesses over the years from a millinery, cigar lounge, grocery store, dyer and cleaner, jewelry store, and lawyers office. Since our purchase in 2022, the building has hosted a retail boutique, a photography studio, and Airbnb. The original windows, patina trim throughout with all the modern comforts combined with the historic nostalgia to include recently added Juliet balconies. Guest access Guests have easy access to their suite using wifi enabled smart locks at the entrance to the building as well as to the designated suite. We are currently adding a laundry room with Electrolux washer and dryer, available upon request. Other things to note We continue to renovate the remaining portions of the building and soon will open our second short term rental. In 2026, our photo studio will be converted into a third short term rental providing three options for your stay as well as potentially an opportunity for large groups to rent two or three of the suites to enable the entire second floor to be your home away from home.
