Swallows Nest Barn Studio

Come and share our beautiful, rural property on the Dorrigo Plateau. Our barn studio is self-contained, private and very comfortable. There's a cosy fireplace in Winter and the front doors open wide to let in the Summer breeze. You can easily prepare simple meals in the kitchen. Fresh eggs, provided by our girls are available, along with homemade preserves. The studio is ideal for couples, or up to three people. We are also open to welcoming your well-behaved canine (or feline) family members. The space We live in the main house near the barn, which contains the studio. Some parts of the barn are not available to guests, without prior permission, because it is a working barn. We both work from home, so we are generally around if you need anything. Having said that, we are also very mindful that people come to the country for a break from the hustle. We totally get it, that's why we moved to this beautiful place. Our property consists of the main house, barn, and 40 acres of gardens, paddocks and bushland. There are some lovely walks around the property and on the nearby stock route. The other on-site residents include six horses, one Mini-Fox-Terrier, one Bengal pussycat and some hard-working chickens, who supply fresh eggs. Guest access Guests can park their vehicle at the top of the drive near the entrance to the barn. Other things to note With prior approval, you are welcome to bring your fur kids (canine or feline) with you (up to two per family). We have a secure area to leave them if you need to head out. Your fur kids will be your responsibility while they are on our property. We do have other animals, and this is their home, so your animals will need to be well-socialised and under your control while you are visiting. We do have a very sturdy old style sofa bed that opens up for one additional guest. It has a comfortable mattress topper on it. It is ideal for children or short adults. The length of the sleeping area on the sofa bed is comfortable for people up to 5' 1" or 156 cm. Registration Details PID-STRA-72110
