Double Bedroom in Wee Midterrace Home

Keep it simple at this peaceful, centrally-located place. Basic double bedroom available in mid-terraced house a short 15-20 min bus ride to Edinburgh. The room has a new double bed & mattress, a built in wardrobe, books, art, and is super cosy. There's a shared bathroom. right next to the guest room. This listing is owner and rescue greyhound occupied. Only dog friendly guests should book. My bedroom is next to the guest bedroom. Basa (my rescue greyhound) is resident queen! The space Welcome to my first official home 😉This is a small mid-terraced, good vibes house. My home offers a peaceful, affordable retreat away from the busy city centre and restaurant scene—perfect for guests seeking relaxation and tranquillity. I am not a business. Just a guy with one guest room saving for renovations and a dream kitchen extension. I price my place the same price as a night in a hostel for 2. For this reason, most of my guests who stay are on a tight budget, students, on gap years, and eager not to stay in a hostel! You will have a double bedroom with a new bed and mattress. There are plenty of towels in the wardrobe and extra blankets if needed also. There is central heating and hot water. There is a shared bathroom upstairs right next to the your, the guest bedroom. Shower gel and shampoo and conditional are available. My bedroom is absolutely off limits! No exceptions. Guests found in my room will be instructed to leave the premises. Feel free to use the kitchen - store food and make a cup or tea or coffee. Please help yourself to the fruit in the fruit and the endless supply of porridge. Want to pop a meal in the oven or microwave? Go ahead. Host has primary use of the living room as he works from home. 😄 This is Basa and I's home, so If I am home and not working, I will want to hang out there in the evenings or when a mate calls by for a tea. Please do say hello though if you want when I'm in the living room or we haven't yet met 😁 Guests have been making use of the magnetic fridge poetry which is a vibe that brightens up my day. Feel free to tag me in your composition! Basa, my rescue greyhound and Airbnb celebrity, will definitely crave your attention. She loves meeting new people and has been known to be found asleep in bed with guests. She has free reign of the downstairs during the day. There is a barrier on the stairs. She sleeps in the living room at night with the door closed. I sometimes have a dogsitter stay over if I am away working or otherwise. They are not the host so please direct questions to me. I believe in complete transparency so, if you want to be right in the busy city centre and roll out of bed and straight into a supermarket or into a restaurant , this may not be the ideal place for you. However, if you’re after an affordable stay with the city centre just a short bus ride away (on average 15-20mins), I’d love to welcome you! I cycle into the city (15mins) or walk too in about 40 minutes (I'm a fast walker). The nearest grocery store is a brisk 6-minute walk (think of it as your daily cardio), and my favourite Aldi is only 5 minutes away by bus in Cameron Toll—so you’re never far from snacks or supplies. Most guests do their shopping in the centre 😉 I believe in good energy only and old school Airbnb vibes so please be kind to me, my dog and my wee home💚 PS: If your political affiliations and/or belief system and/or words think of others as less than or deserving of lesser rights; if your actions and words, affiliations and beliefs support the discrimination, degradation, prosecution or worse of others, please don't share these thoughts while staying. I repeat DO NOT BOOK if you are not ok being around a dog!!!! I had a booking where I had to cancel all plans as guests had never been around a dog in their lives and caused chaos for poor Basa and myself. Another guest pushed my poor dog and locked her outside. Also, when booking, please drop me a message. This is my home and I do like to know who is staying. Guest access You will have access to your bedroom and a shared bathroom. Please note that the bathroom is shared, so other guests may also need to use it. You are also welcome to use the kitchen. The living room is a shared space, and guests are welcome to use when I am not home or not using it. I tend to let guests know when I am not home so they can relax there. I like my alone time in the evenings watching TV and reading in my living room. 😁Most guests are used to this and Airbnb etiquette and not claiming spaces. My bedroom is off limits and guests should never be in there! During your stay I live here and work from home, so if you need anything, please feel free to ask. I do work a lot so, if you don't see me much during your trip, that is why. I say a welcome hello to all my guests but it's all work work work for me. I am, of course always available to answer questions. Pleas do ask. Other things to note I have a rescue greyhound. If you do not like dogs, then this Airbnb is not for you. Basa is the queen of the house and is super friendly. She will not access your bedroom and will only be upstairs when I am working from there. All guests love meeting her. I cannot stress this enough - if you are not a dog person, please don't book and ask me to keep her locked in the living room for your stay Scotland is a cold climate. If you are visiting from warm climates, do not expect 30 degrees weather. The climate is outside my control and expecting me to set the thermostat to 30 degrees is madness!!!! (and yes, I have been asked). 20 degrees thermostat setting means shorts and t-shirt indoors for people in Scotland 😁
