However you'll still enjoy complete privacy as the home is nestled in a beautiful alpine forest with no other homes in view. Seven Slopes Chalet is less than a 10 minute walk to the lift on a low traffic, level gravel road. Perfect for families and groups who can come and go to the house on a ski day without the need for a vehicle. Other things to note Access Road: The property is located on a gravel road .5 miles from paved road. Mad River Glen is at beginning of the same gravel road including all ski facilities. Also along this stretch is the winter nursery for children 6 months to 6 years as well as the snow shoe trail. This road is fairly level without steep slopes. It's a short 8 minute walk to chairlift and the house can easily. be accessed during a ski day without any need for a vehicle. The road is plowed on a regular basis and has very little traffic. Any car traffic is always at low speed. Parking: Parking is directly on the gravel road and the house entry is within 30 yards of the entry. Mobility: The path to entry has covered stairs and there are seven levels of stairs inside the house (Thus the name Seven Slopes). The seven split at different heights, so the total stairs are a bit more than a normal 2 story house. Fireplace: Upon prior arrangement and review of special rules, the living room fireplace maybe used. Group Makeup: The house was designed for a couple of families so the ideal group would be an even mix such as 5 adults and 5 children or close. The main reason is the bunk beds, which while builtin and solid are singles and also two bathrooms have only one sink.
