The space Our spacious one-bedroom guesthouse blends the comfort of home with an escape into nature. Large windows provide natural light and frame the surrounding oaks and canyon greenery. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a serene bedroom with soft linens. Thoughtful touches — from the décor to eco-friendly cleaning products — make the space welcoming. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, a vacation to enjoy the area, business, or a longer stay, you’ll find everything you need to feel at home while still enjoying a sense of peaceful seclusion. Separate from the main residence, the guest house has: • a fully equipped kitchen including a Nespresso machine, French press, microwave, stove, oven, fridge, stainless steel cookware, & small appliances such as a blender and milk frother • a living room area with TV with high-speed wifi for smooth streaming and a queen sleeper sofa • a queen bed in a separate sleeping area (elevated, so must be able to go up a few steps to it) • a desk for working and writing • a sitting area to enjoy a good book • a full bathroom • portable AC unit and ceiling fans for summer • radiant floor heating for the cooler months • comfortable outdoor chairs for enjoying nature whether sipping your morning coffee or listening to the crickets and the other sounds of the forest at night Guest access You’ll have the guesthouse and the area in front of it to yourself, with a private entrance and separation from the main house. Parking is available on the property, and we’re tucked far enough away from the main road that you’ll enjoy quiet (except for birds, crickets and frogs), starlit evenings. Other things to note • The guesthouse is an accommodate up to 4 guests (queen bed + queen sofa bed) • Fast Wi-Fi for work or streaming • Hosts live on the property and are available for quick communication, but your privacy is respected at all times • Scenic walks from the guesthouse or drive to other nearby Topanga/Santa Monica Mountains hiking trails, near Malibu beaches, Topanga town's boutiques and cafes, and Santa Monica, Calabasas, and Woodland Hills restaurants, and shops The bed is elevated, so guests need to be able to go up a few steps to the bed. **Well-behaved pets will be considered upon request, with a $100 pet fee. Rules: Pets must be well behaved and potty trained, kept off all the furniture including the beds, and leashed when outside. Note: Our dogs will bark when they see you take your dog for a walk but they stay in a fenced in portion of the property that is completely separate from the guest house. **For extended stays, we ask that you cover weekly cleaning at $90 per cleaning. Topanga is a community nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains that is set off by itself but also only 10 minutes to the Pacific Coast Highway to beaches, Santa Monica, and Malibu and 15-20 minutes in the other direction to the multitude of shops and restaurants in Calabasas, Woodland Hills, and the rest of the San Fernando Valley. And Topanga’s boutiques, crafts, quaint restaurants, and general store are just a few minutes away from the house. The scenic trail through Red Rock Canyon Park is within walking distance and connects to trails to peaks with amazing views of the Santa Monica Mountains and Pacific Ocean for the adventurous. Topanga State Park, the world’s largest wildland within a major city, with 36 miles of trails with beautiful views is also just a few minutes away. NO OPEN FLAME ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY
