Originally built in 1958 by Muriel Barrett, who went on to build several other homes in the neighborhood, this home has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its welcoming character. Guest access Guest access is simple and flexible— the entire home is yours to enjoy during your stay. The primary suite also features a private side entrance for added convenience and privacy. From the dining room, you can open the French doors and step directly out onto the deck and into the spacious backyard—perfect for morning coffee, outdoor meals, or letting kids run and play. Please note that the yard is not fully fenced, so guests traveling with pets or small children should plan accordingly. Other things to note Wood-Burning Fireplace Enjoy a cozy evening by the wood-burning stove in the living room. We provide enough firewood for approximately two fire experiences during your stay. Additional wood is available in the wheelbarrow near the patio door. To start your fire, place a few pieces of smaller wood or kindling underneath larger logs and allow the fire to build gradually. Once the fire is burning well, you can adjust the dampers using the small wheels located on each door at the front of the stove. Please use the provided gloves when opening or closing the dampers, as they become extremely hot. The stove does not have a traditional flue; instead, the dampers help control airflow and the intensity of the fire. Once your fire is established, slightly closing the dampers will slow the burn and help the wood last longer rather than burning through it quickly. Please enjoy the fireplace responsibly: • Never leave a burning fire unattended. • Keep doors shut once fire is established. Sparks can shoot out creating a fire hazard. • Keep children and pets at a safe distance. • Make sure the fire is fully out before leaving the home or going to sleep. • Only burn the provided firewood.
