Cozy Nest in Grand Marais

Welcome to our Cozy Nest cottage, a unique one-story that is located on beautiful Lake Superior with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms--1 queen, 1 full and a queen pullout, 1 full bath, and access to our private beach via a boardwalk and sand path over the dunes. From the north large window, you can glimpse the outer harbor light and Lake Superior. If you love hiking, riding ATV/ORV, biking or just taking in the peaceful quiet of our private beach or wood setting – this is the place for you! The space Want to un-plug? We invite you to unwind at our Cozy Nest cottage in Grand Marais, MI. During the summer months you can spend your days on the property relaxing on our semi-private beach, swimming, and having campfires. We’re within a mile of the shops and restaurants downtown. If you would like to go exploring, we’re located at the eastern end of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, where you can enjoy gorgeous hikes along the sandy dunes, magnificent sandstone cliffs, teal blue Lake Superior water, picturesque waterfalls, inland lakes, and north wood forests of maples, birches, pines, and hemlocks. The Grand Marais area is also home to legendary trout streams. Located 30 miles to the south is the Seney National Wildlife Refuge with over 200 bird species, 26 fish species, and 50 mammals—a wildlife photographer’s dream. Grand Marais is located on the ATV/ORV trail 8. We have ample parking for trailers. No matter how you want to spend your summer vacation, we have it all. In autumn, the surrounding hardwood forests turn magnificent orange, yellow and reds with contrasting evergreens and paperwhite birch trees. The weather is great for hiking, biking, photographing, riding on the motorized trails and more. It is very peaceful. Any time of the year, our cabin serves as a perfect retreat with a fabulous view, nestled in the trees with a peaceful walk to our private beach. Guest access Entire cabin is available for use. There is a detached red cedar garage where we ask guests to place trash in the left side bay. What is not accessible is a log cabin -- Rustic Charm (unless rented with Cozy Nest) that is on our property. This could cause issues with breast pump machinery. Boiling the water can assist with this or bring something to accommodate if this applies to you. Are you a dog owner? If so, please be aware that we are a conversancy that monitors the Piping Plover bird out on the beach. During the months of June - August, we ask that if you take your dog to the beach, to use a leash. Thank you!! Need more accommodations?
