This 1920's cottage is a block away from Downtown Auburn's charming shops, bars & restaurants, and half mile from historic Old Town and Court House We are located just over a mile from Robie Point's famous Western States trail, and a half mile from the race's finish at Placer High School. We are ten minutes drive from the American River, a half hour from Lakes Folsom or Clementine, and an hour and 1/2 from Lake Tahoe. We are dog friendly, and hope you love our home as much as we do. The space About the Space: Pine Street Cottage has two bedroom and one bath on the main floor. Both bedrooms are toward the rear of the house, and are very quiet. The back bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a double, with an option to set up a toddler bed or pack & play. Rooms include new sheets, and duvets that are thoroughly laundered after each guest. We offer extra blankets, as well, for a cozy stay. The upstairs has two bedrooms, which are empty at this time, so are not included as 'bedrooms' on the listing. Bedrooms have night stands, closets and luggage racks for your convenience. Our kitchen and bath have been recently renovated, careful to maintain a classic, but modern farmhouse feel. Our kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, bakeware and a coffee station equipped with Starbucks pods, to-go cups, sugar and sugar substitute, and creamer in the fridge. We also have teas, and even hot cocoa packets. Our bathroom features Native hair & bath products, and also a few travel-size items in case you left your toothpaste at home. We have a very private, fenced 'secret garden' backyard with covered patio, outdoor seating, and cafe lighting. Though we are a couple of blocks from the freeway, the neighborhood is peaceful and you never hear any sound when you are indoors. We have two TV's in the home, offering free YouTube TV, along with smart feature so you can stream your own favorite content on Netflix, etc. You can expect high speed internet for your devices during your stay. Our dining room accommodates 6, and the home is filled with natural light. We have plenty of dishwear (even un-breakable for the kids), and wine glasses, to enjoy your evenings in or outdoors on the secluded patio. Our backyard is fully fenced, and offers faux grass for a pet area, as well as pea gravel, and bricks - plenty of space for kids (or adults) to play. The front-yard is a gardener's delight (during the growing season), and features strawberry plants, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn and even pumpkins. Please help yourself to any berries, cucumbers, or tomatoes as they become ripe. We are local to Auburn. My husband is a business owner in town, and has been here for 30 years. We love our town and can't wait to share it with you. We have a binder that includes everything you need to know about the area, like best restaurants, and hiking trails. (there's a pickleball court a half-mile away)! When you leave, we only ask that you let us know, so we can start tidying up. If you feel like gathering laundry, removing sheets, etc, that's a bonus, but it's never expected. We just want you to enjoy your stay. We have put a lot of love into our cottage, and are always excited to host people for weddings, trail runs, and everything in-between. Please let us know if your stay is for a special event. We hope that you love the cottage as much as we do! Safe travels! Guest access We will send you your door code when we are ready for you! Access is typically through the front door, and the entrance has stairs. If you need easier access the side yard entrance has a few very-shallow steps, please let us know ahead of time if you need to enter through the side yard. We offer a toddler bed and bedding, in addition to the queen & full beds. Parking is at the side of the house, as the curb in front of the house is a red zone. If you are coming in two cars, feel free to block the garage, as it will not be in use while you are there. We love dogs. Please do not leave pup unattended in the home or for extended periods in the yard, as a courtesy to our neighbors. Other things to note As stated in 'Guest Access', the front door has multiple stairs, but the side-yard door offers access to the home's back door, with only a few, very spaced-out, low steps. Much easier than the front stairs for those with lesser mobility. We offer a toddler bed & bedding, as well as basic pet supplies, like waste bags & water bowls.
